I spent 23 yrs. in the military and have combat tours in Viet Nam and other far away places. I have 53 yrs. in Judo, I started in Japan with Sensei Watanabe in Yokosuka Japan and progressed from there. I hold Rokudan in Judo and Godan in Jujitsu and I am part of the USJA /USMAA/ Kodokan Organizations. I teach on base at NAS Pensacola Florida both children and adults. Take care and keep training. I half-expected the McCain campaign to resort to using racial hatred and xenophobia, but I was completely surprised to see his and Palin's appearance become partial hate rallies. I'm doing everything I can to get Barack Obama elected because I know that he has to win by a clear margin in order for the win to not be contested or stolen. I'm glad to see that you are, too. BTW, even though I'm relatively unserious about judo, I've enjoyed the thoughtful podcast that you and Mike do. As a former teacher, I can attest that Marina is a lovely young lady, an awesome teammate to her fellow Brave wrestlers, and an inspiration to us all. My 13 year old daughter had the opportunity to meet Marina, and is so encouraged from their talk that she will also be trying out for out high school team! I wish her and her family all the best for the rest of the summer--safe travels and blessings--and I can't wait to see her in September!
